Special Session on CCI-based Optimization Models (CCIBOM 2011)

Introduction

The aim of the special session on CCI-based Optimization Models (CCIBOM) is to bring together researchers interested in various optimization models and problem solving techniques based on collective computational intelligence to share their experience, present current research results and discuss advanced techniques. Topics of submitted papers should focus on methods and applications where the tools and techniques exploiting collective computational intelligence are used to enhance, support or replace traditional approaches to solving optimization problems. In particular, we encourage papers reporting on the real-life applications of the CCI-based optimization models.

Topics of interests

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Cooperative problem solving and optimization
  • Collective decision making
  • Agent-based modeling and simulation
  • Evolutionary and co-evolutionary algorithms and their applications
  • Distributed optimization
  • Multi-agent optimization techniques and their applications
  • Application of intelligent techniques for optimization problems
  • Other related topics

Information for authors

The submitted papers should present results of the original and unpublished research. The papers will be reviewed by the ICCCI 2011 International Program Committee. The best submissions will be selected for presentation and will be included in the conference proceedings. The conference proceedings are planned to be published and distributed by Springer-Verlag in series LNCS/LNAI. Submitted papers should be prepared in LNCS/LNAI style and should be limited to 10 pages. All papers must be submitted electronically via conference submission system.
