Special Session on Computational Collective Intelligence in Economy (CCIE 2011)IntroductionSecondary schools textbooks define Economics as a study of human behavior. Despite this awareness, economists mainly describe and analyze economical phenomena and try to predict economical problems with the help of terms such as money, production, consumption, transfer, etc. Recent research progress and a growing public interest in Collective Intelligence, makes strong recommendation to use Collective Intelligence as a new tool to analyze economical phenomena and problems. Thus, the aim of this special session on Computational Collective Intelligence in Economy (CCIE), is to bring together researchers interested on Collective Intelligence in Economics, to share their approach to economical problems, present their current research results and discuss the future of Collective Intelligence Methodology in economics. The topics of submitted papers should focus on methods and applications where the tools and techniques exploiting Collective Intelligence are used - to enhance, support or replace the traditional approach to solving economic problems.
